If there has been one over-riding passion in my life, it has been
Relationship.
I have always been fascinated by how people interact with
each other, relate to each other, misunderstand each other,
do stupid things to each other,
and love each other. Why do so many relationships fail?
Why is there so much conflict in families?
Why do groups (tribes, political parties,
factions, countries) war with each other?
As a young girl, I had taken for granted that when I was old
enough I would find perfect love. As I became an adolescent
and young adult, I began looking for the perfect relationship,
one where you were always in harmony with your mate, you always
agreed with each other, and you
could read each other's minds.
After my first early relationships, it became apparent to me that
the "perfect" love was going to be harder to find than I originally
thought. I became determined to fully understand the dynamics of
relationship both by studying all the written material I could find
on the subject, and also by experiencing relationship with different
types of people. I even pursued, briefly,
a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology because I naively thought
that in studying psychology, I would find the answers I was
looking for. My burning questions were
1) Why do relationships that begin as harmonious and passionate usually
degenerate into conflict and blame, and 2) How does one sustain that
initial intoxicating passion in a long term committed relationship?
After reading every book I could find on Relationship, I finally stumbled
upon 2 books that introduced me to
The Pathwork -
"Creating Union", and "The Pathwork of Self-Transformation".
The Pathwork is a series of lectures channeled from the Guide by Eva Pierrakos.
When I read the Pathwork Lectures, I could feel the energy of the Guide
running through my body like an electrical current, opening my heart,
and I knew this energy was helping me to remember the words
in the lecture at a soul level.
For the first time in my life, I began to
understand what the purpose
of relationship is, and how to really improve my relationships without
compromising my integrity.
Studying the Pathwork, being assisted by the energy of the Guide
and my own Guides, and
using the Awaken Your Light Body techniques
enabled me to progressively open my heart and clear my emotional
and mental bodies.
I truly began to understand that the people around us are mirrors to
who we are. The difficulties we have with other people are not
because of *their* stuff, they are caused by *our* stuff. It
took a lot of conscious effort, but I
finally became clear enough to meet (and marry!) William, who
is a soul mate.
Together we grow and experience new levels of
Consciousness, connection to Spirit, and connection
to each other.
Life with Willam is truly the joyful and deeply loving
experience that I have been searching for all my life.
I am deeply grateful to Spirit and my Guides for
assisting me in manifesting this wonderful gift.
